Pretty Wings w/ lyrics

New Maxwell song, rocks my socks! I love the baroque sounds in the beginning!
The song is him breaking up with someone, yet still caring for that person enough to wish them well. It takes a highly evolved person to do that. LOL
I don't think song could apply to long relationships that well, but hey! It's all in your interpretation.

Whoever inspired this song should be gracious ... that it wasn't entitled "get out ugly hoe." I would settle for "pretty wings" any day!

Well here is the video and the lyrics:

"Time will bring a well end of our trial
One day there'll be no remnants no trace
No residual feelings for me
One day you won't remember me.

Your face will be the reason I smile
But I will not see what I cannot have forever
I'll always love you
I hope you feel the same.

Oh, you played me dirty, your game was so bad
You toyed with my affection
Had to fill out the prescription for the remedy
I had to set you free.

Away from me
To see clearly
The way that love can be when you are not with me
I had to lead
I had to let
I had to leave
I had to live

If I can't have you
Let love set you free
To fly your pretty wings around."

"I do not know if you remember the tale of the girl who saves the ship under mutiny by sitting on the powder barrel with her lighted torch and all the time knowing that it is empty? This has seemed to me a charming image of the women of my time. There they were, keeping the world in order by sitting on the mystery of life, and knowing themselves that there was no mystery."
